2020 Vision

The irony is almost humorous… 2020 has been jolting to say the least. It was not a year of perfect vision. It was a year of chaos and division.

At the end of 2019, I hosted a vision board party, and in all honesty, I had never created a vision board before! We had a blast getting creative, cutting out pictures and words that resonated with us. I took a look at my board the other day, and I was in shock. Every single thing on my board with the exception of one, had become my reality this year. I aspired to live a life where I truly felt "alive". I envisioned being a woman with a free spirit, living her life fully and with a go-with-the-flow demeanor. (That one felt like a longshot.) I dreamt of launching a business based on referrals where I was able to help people fully discover themselves. I yearned to be a mom (and may have accidentally manifested a boy even though we had been hoping for a girl 😊). We have yet to accomplish a home add-on, but that will definitely be going on the 2021 board.

What I realized after reviewing my 2020 board with a smile on my face, is not that it was necessarily some spiritual manifestation that made it happen… it was the idea of having a (somewhat) clear vision. A northern star to shoot for. It's common for people to think that they "want more" out of life, but what does that look like? Just like using a GPS, it's important to have some idea of a destination. Or else, where the hell are you going? Measuring success would be impossible. By having a vision, and even better, putting it on paper, it gives you something to aim towards. So let's get some 2021 vision and create the future we want.
